iOS bible faith AI companion editorial
Eventide — a daily reading, a verse-citing Companion, a 66-book library, the reader, reading rooms, and verse-share cards.

Eventide is a daily reading for the inner life — a Bible reader, a prayer journal, mood notes, reading plans, and an AI Companion, in one considered place. Sixty-six books treated as books, scripture cited by reference and never invented, designed with the care of a magazine and the intelligence of a responsive AI.

It is built for the thinking reader of faith: the one who wants scripture, prayer, and rest without a feed, a streak, or a youth-group aesthetic. A quiet practice you return to on purpose. All traditions of the Christian faith are welcome; doubt is part of the practice, not a problem to solve.

The daily reading
A time-aware home that changes with the hour opens on a single verse and a short reading. One quiet thing a day, with the room to sit with it — keep a prayer journal and note the mood you came in with, in your own words.
The Library
The whole canon as a library worth keeping: sixty-six books, each with its own spine and its own color. Read in the King James Version or the World English Bible, search every verse, highlight and bookmark without limit. The scripture is free — all of it.
The Companion
An AI that reads like an editor in the margin, not a chat bubble. Ask about a passage and it answers in considered prose, citing the reference so you can read the verse yourself. When it does not know, it says so — and it points you to a trained human for anything real.
Reading Rooms & plans
Guided reading plans that move through scripture on purpose, with curated entries for where you actually are — including a room for doubt. Sampler plans are free; the full library of thirty-three guided plans opens with Eventide +.
Read aloud & breathe
Any chapter read aloud on your device with on-device text-to-speech, plus short breathing practices for the moments between. No leaderboards, no guilt notifications, no feed to scroll.
Your writing stays yours
Prayers, journal entries, mood notes, and highlights are stored on your device and sync through your own private iCloud, not our servers. No ads, no third-party tracking, and nothing you write in your journal is ever sent to the AI.

Eventide is built so the most intimate things you write stay yours. Journal entries, mood notes, highlights, and saved verses live on your device and sync only to your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) — we run no server that stores that content and cannot read it.

The one thing that leaves your device, besides account sign-in, is a message you send to the Companion: it is sent over an encrypted connection to our server function and then to our AI provider to generate a reflection. It is never used for advertising or model training. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple, and usage analytics are anonymous and stay on your device.
